Haseeb Ilyas
Head of Legal Services
As Head of Legal Services since October 2025, Haseeb drives Fish Legal’s legal team forward, overseeing case direction and delivery and ensuring that members receive high quality legal advice and representation. With experience from a Top 200 legal firm, he has handled high-stakes civil litigation for both Claimants and Defendants. His direct, determined style drives success in high-stakes scenarios and benefits the waterways he is passionate about protecting.
Zoe Wedderburn-Day
Head of Policy and Strategy
Zoe joined Fish Legal in 2024, having previously worked in the Disputes & Investigations team at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in London. Zoe also holds an LLM in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development from SOAS University. Zoe works across a diverse range of legal issues, with recent cases spanning judicial review challenges of government and public body decisions, as well as representing affected members in disputes over local planning applications.
Geoff Hardy
Advice Solicitor
Geoff joined Fish Legal in 2015. Geoff spent his legal career in the public sector working for the Crown Prosecution Service, the Environment Agency and local authorities as an advisory lawyer and prosecutor. Geoff advises members clubs, riparians and fishery owners on a wide range of angling and fishery related legal matters, often calling on his extensive experience in information law and data protection.
Robert Younger
Solicitor in Scotland
Robert works part time for Fish Legal in Scotland. Robert gives advice to Fish Legal's Scottish members including Salmon Fishery Boards and Fisheries Management Scotland, principally on the application of fisheries legislation. Robert is also involved in the major issue of the damage to wild stocks of salmon caused by badly-sited aquaculture sites and, separately, the damage caused by prawn trawling in the inshore.
Cameron Hogg
Solicitor
Cameron joined Fish Legal as a part time Solicitor in October 2012 after practicing commercial litigation at what is now Knights Plc in Newcastle-under-Lyme for over 11 years. Cameron primarily deals with pollution, trespass and other environmental damage claims.
Andrew Kelton
Solicitor
Andrew joined Fish Legal in 2012, having previously worked at Richard Buxton Environmental and Public Law. Andrew specialises in pollution claims and challenging large infrastructure projects that put fish populations at risk, such as the tidal lagoon as Swansea Bay and a proposed abstraction on the River Test.
Angela Henry
Solicitor
Angela joined Fish Legal in 2022 to deal primarily with pollution and environmental damage claims. Angela previously held various roles in private practice and was a Family Law specialist.
Deborah McEldowney
Solicitor in Northern Ireland
Deborah joins us in 2026 as our Northern Ireland Civil Litigator following a lengthy career in private practice handling a diverse range of civil litigation actions for both plaintiff and defence. Specialising in medical negligence, family law and from a country farming background, Deborah is keen to apply her practical knowledge and litigation expertise to the vital work of protecting Northern Ireland’s waterways.
Kay Amos
Legal Administrator
Kay joined Fish Legal in 2021, having previously worked as a Data Administrator for a counselling service. Kay manages incoming phone calls and emails for Fish Legal and sets up new advice matters. Kay also deals with closures and storage of advice matters and cases.
